Had a reservation at 6 on Saturday, no problems with seating. Drinks were ordered and served quickly. The menus are different than what's on the website. I ordered the jambalaya, a speciality of the house. It came in a 12 inch bowl, easily enough for two meals, and was filled with sausage and shrimp. An excellent serving and for 26, an excellent value. The restaurant is very nice, the wait staff friendly and was very attentive. It hits all of my marks.

Hello, I went here for lunch. The host, a young guy with glasses greeted us at the door. He was friendly. We sat on the left side of the restaurant and it was freezing. Our server didn't come to our table right away so we asked Jamie if we could sit at the bar. We sat at the bar which was warmer. The foods and drinks were delicious! Jamie was delightful. Miss Toyas needs to turn the heat up. I will return

I recently visited Miss Toya's Creole House in Silver Spring, MD--worth noting, this location is focused on Creole cuisine, unlike the Southern Kitchen branch in Laurel, MD. I tried the loaded gumbo, a hearty blend of Andouille sausage, shrimp, crab leg, and chicken slow-cooked in Creole style and served with scallion rice. The flavors were wonderfully rich and robust, though it leaned a bit salty for my taste. That said, I'd definitely return to explore more of the menu! The customer service stood out--prompt, friendly, and attentive. The decor and ambiance also made for a warm, enjoyable dining experience. Overall, Miss Toya's Creole House is a spot I'd recommend for good food and great atmosphere. Oh the creole island drink gave me life , forgot to add this part.

Review for Miss Toya's Creole House I had an incredible dining experience at Miss Toya's Creole House! The lamb chops were perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. Their seafood fried rice was a standout - rich, savory, and filled with generous portions of seafood. I also tried the egg rolls, which had a nice crisp exterior and a flavorful filling, making them a perfect starter. The salmon was equally delightful, cooked to perfection with a mouthwatering seasoning. To top it all off, the cocktails were amazing - balanced, refreshing, and the perfect complement to the meal. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent from start to finish. If you're looking for great food with a Creole twist, Miss Toya's is a must-visit. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

I experienced Miss Toya's Creole House the first time recently. I loved the music and aesthetic of the restaurant! A lot of space for big parties if you choose to go in a big group. I just went with my aunt! My Aunt got the sangria which was huge and she said very delicious it had a popsicle at the top for decoration which we thought was cute. I had the shrimp and grits and it was so good very flavorful the grits alone were too good but with the shrimp it took it to a whole different level! And it tastes good the next day I definitely recommend the shrimp and grits. I cannot wait to go back and try more items off their menu! Our server was so sweet and very attentive!

This was my second time at Miss Toyas, but I can say that this time was a better experience. The restaurant wasn't super busy at the time we dined, so service was great and the vibe was pleasant. I ate the blackened catfish and grits and it was seasoned to perfection. I was worried that it would be too salty but it wasn't. I added a side of the honey cornbread instead of dessert. Because I live close to the restaurant, I will absolutely be back again.
